General visit guidance
The 2026 New York State Fair runs from Wednesday, August 26, through Labor Day, Monday, September 7, in Syracuse. On a general day, the official FAQ lists fair operating hours from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. It also says entry and re-entry stop at 9 p.m., so the 11 p.m. closing time is not an arrival deadline.
Labor Day follows a different schedule: the fair closes at 9 p.m., and entry or re-entry ends at 8 p.m. The FAQ lists separate building and midway schedules, so those general fair hours should not be read as the opening hours for every service on the grounds.
Daily admission terms
The FAQ lists adult daily admission at $8.32 including fees. It says children 12 and under are admitted free every day, as are adults 65 and older. These are admission terms only; they do not state a complete visit budget or cover parking and optional purchases.
Hours, entry rules, and ticket terms can change while the fair is running. Before traveling, check the official FAQ again, especially if planning to arrive late or on Labor Day. This article does not rank days to visit or make claims about crowds, attractions, or parking availability.
